This page explains how Lighthunter handles images and source details saved with the Chrome extension.
Last updated May 4, 2026
What the extension saves
When you choose Save image to Lighthunter from Chrome's right-click menu, the extension sends the selected image, the image URL, the page URL, and the page title to Lighthunter so the image can appear in your private reference library.
The extension only saves after you explicitly choose the context-menu action. It does not record browsing history in the background.
How the data is used
Saved images and source details are used to provide the Lighthunter reference workflow: storing references, avoiding duplicate saves, and displaying saved images inside your projects.
Lighthunter does not sell extension data and does not use extension data for advertising or interest-based targeting.
Where the data goes
Saved references are transmitted over HTTPS to the Lighthunter web app and stored with the account you are signed into. Images are stored in private project storage and displayed to you with authenticated access.
Lighthunter uses service providers such as hosting, database, storage, and authentication providers only as needed to operate the product.
Account and deletion
You can delete saved references inside Lighthunter. Deleted reference files are removed from the app's storage when the delete action completes.
If you need help with account data or deletion, use the support contact listed in the Chrome Web Store listing.
Limited use disclosure
Lighthunter's use of information received from Chrome extension permissions is limited to providing and improving the user-facing save-to-library feature.
Lighthunter does not transfer this data except as necessary to provide the feature, comply with law, address security, or operate the service through infrastructure providers.
